ABOUT US

The Shawan Robinson Basketball School at Panther Creek High School is for boys and girls ages 5-14 that are interested in learning more about the game of basketball and improving their skill level while having fun. Our goal is to expose your athletes to high school and college level drills that are challenging and engaging.

The camp offers individual fundamental instruction, individual and team contests, and 5 on 5 games. The camp will also feature instruction by current and former coaches and players. Some guest speakers include former and current professional and college players. Shawan Robinson played high school basketball at Leesville Road High School under the direction of Darryl Robinson. While playing in high school, he played in four Sweet 16 games, and in his junior year, led his team to the State Championship game.

Shawan has continued his father’s legacy by continuing to run camps in the triangle area. His father, Darryl, started running camps in the late 80’s at Hale High School(now St. David’s School).  From there he went on to run camp at Leesville Road High School for the next two decades.  The family atmosphere created at Shawan Robinson Basketball School fosters a love for the game, for competition, and a desire to improve.  Our goal is for every athlete, at each level of development to have a positive basketball experience.

After high school, Shawan attended Clemson University where he played guard for four years. After graduating from Clemson, he continued his basketball career in at the professional level in Europe for three years. Shawan is the current coach at Panther Creek High School, where he has led the program for the past 11 seasons.  Under his tutelage over 30 athletes have gone on to play basketball, football or baseball at the next level. With the support of the community, Panther Creek has been to the state playoffs every year. They have been to 4 sweet 16s, 2 Elite 8s and 1 State Championship game. Coach Robinson has worked with, and learned from, some of the best coaches across the world, and he looks forward to passing on his knowledge and passion to these athletes. Coach Robinson and his staff look forward to a fun-filled week of camp.
